Julia Knight is a Tasmanian sculptor who creates exquisite carved semi abstract works from Tasmania’s rare woods.
Recycling her materials from buildings and other sources, she allows herself to be led by the unique grain and texture of each piece. The resultant figurines glow with the natural oils of ancient timber that may have taken 1000 years to grow.
